Ronald Acuña Jr. Sizzles with Historic Home Runs

Ronald Acuña Jr. is on fire, hitting five home runs and stealing four bases in a four-game span, including a grand slam in Boston.

After a slow start and a left hamstring strain, Acuña returned to the lineup on May 19, but struggled at the plate, hitting .200 with no home runs in 30 plate appearances.

He eased back into the lineup, and his resurgence came with one swing of the bat, a grand slam at Fenway Park on May 30.

Acuña is the third player since 1898 to have four home runs and four stolen bases in a three-game span, joining Shohei Ohtani and Max Carey.

He joins Ohtani, Eric Davis, and Willie Mays as the only players to hit five home runs and steal four bases in four games.

The Atlanta Braves currently have the best record in the MLB, with two straight series wins over the Red Sox and Reds, and Acuña was a massive part of that success.

Their ability to win despite a lack of production from Acuña and Austin Riley made their accomplishments even more impressive.

The Braves begin a home series against the Toronto Blue Jays on Tuesday, July 2, with Acuña looking to continue his hot streak.
