Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone Wins Gold, Talks Motherhood

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, a world-record holder in the 400-meter hurdles, has dominated her sport, earning recognition as one of *Time* magazine's People of the Year.

She has redefined what's possible on the track, capturing gold in the 400-meter hurdles at the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics and the 2024 Paris Games.

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone tells *Woman's World*, "Track is something I've loved ever since I was a kid, and being able to now do it on a professional level is honestly just a dream come true."

She says, "Every season that I step on the track, my goal is just to be the best that I can be, and whether that gets the recognition from the world or not, it's really just me pursuing excellence in whatever it is I do."

Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone looks up to Allyson Felix, saying, "I've always loved seeing her poise, her grace and how she's handled things."

She's currently getting ready to welcome her first baby with her husband Andre Levrone, saying, "This is completely new to me and my husband, so we're so excited to step into this journey and just to learn along the way."

As she prepares to welcome her daughter, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone hopes to inspire her to chase her dreams, whether in track or another sport.
